TRIZ tools

TRIZ offers effective methods for each problem situation. It is the
responsibility of the user / inside, open to new approaches to reach
out and to develop methods by suitable choice of an efficient solution
strategy.

TRIZ consists of a variety of different tools. Therefore, they are
divided for clarity into four categories: systematics, knowledge,
vision and analogy.

SCHEME
The TRIZ tools ideality, and the operator MZK dwarfs model have the
task to dissolve mental blocks and free afflict the creative potential
in people. In order to systematically analyze problems are further
innovation and resource checklist, the functional and object modeling.
For a detailed analysis is often half the solution.

KNOWLEDGE
In the knowledge part of TRIZ is to the effects lexicon, which is
endowed by the problem solver through a comprehensive knowledge of
mechanics, physics, thermodynamics and chemistry. Web and patent
searches complement the knowledge content. This solution also
opportunities in other disciplines and sectors are involved. Through
the targeted use of software-based database systems knowledge in a
short time is available.

ANALOGY
The analogy shows the essence of TRIZ method: A specific problem is
abstracted into a common problem, found a general solution for this
and concretised. The technical contradiction is at the center of the
TRIZ thinking pattern. The goal is not elegantly handle the
contradiction with the help of compromises, but to actually solve. The
three tools of conflict analysis (separation principles), conflict
analysis (39 parameters and 40 innovative principles) and
substance-field modeling are available for this.

VISION
The vision is the fourth part of the TRIZ tools. It includes the
S-curve and the evolution laws. All technical systems obey the same
evolution in its general and fundamental laws. They go through a life
cycle that can be divided into introduction, growth, maturity and
saturation. A good example from the literature demonstrating the car's
steering wheel. It developed from staring through the elastic system
for the hydraulic system and field-based system.

TRIZ is a collection of methods for systematic innovation, with
top-class idea to be provoked, but no commercial solutions are
generated. The advantage of this method lies in the close networking
aspects of systematics, knowledge, vision and analogy.

The TRIZ method

TRIZ = "Teorija Reschenija Isobretatelskich Zadatsch" = "The Theory of
Inventive Problem Solving"

Quality innovations churning, that is the dream of every company. But
in reality, revolutionary ideas are often caused by accidents. The
question is: "Are we still always on the 'divine spark' need or is
there already a way to invent system?"

One answer is TRIZ - the "theory of inventive problem solving". In
English, use the term TIPS, the "Theory of Inventive Problem Solving"
means. Under TRIZ refers to a method that systematically investigated
trade-offs in order to overcome this by using innovative TRIZ tools.
Thus it is possible to overcome current system limitations and to find
unexpected solutions.

But not only the functionality of the TRIZ method in focus but also
benefits the companies and for entrepreneurs / inside. With the help
of TRIZ creativity of employees / internal encouraged "deadlocked
problems" is loosened and solutions generated. The company is
responding to the contradictions and conflicts that pose a problem,
formulates and overcomes them. Through the TRIZ method, the number and
quality of solutions is increased and thus brought about innovations.

TRIZ was invented over 50 years ago by the Russian scientist Genrich
Altshuller. Through patent analysis, he found that the trail follows
an invention to certain laws and rules. His basic idea was to resolve
technical issues without compromise. Starting from this basic
knowledge, he developed the core elements of the TRIZ methodology.
These were composed of systematics, knowledge, vision and analogy (see
the article "TRIZ tools).

Russian TRIZ experts spread the TRIZ method in the U.S., Israel, Japan
and Western Europe. Especially in the U.S., this new methodology has
been enthusiastically and constantly evolving. Meanwhile were already
on third Million patents examined for regularities. Today, TRIZ is a
comprehensive method for systematic problem solving with a wide range
of tools. Many well-known Western companies have already successfully
implemented TRIZ. In Austria, the application of this method is still
in its beginning.

Crisis are solutions of a second Type

by Professor HDH

"All life is problem solving" Karl Popper's work titled retrospect.
But - you have to refine the concept for such generalizations.
In the book "solutions" by Paul Watzlawick et.al. For example, the
distinction between two "species" is founded: the first Type is of
type "the more the more," corresponds to the usual extrapolations in
our forecasts and decisions. The second Type name is "paradoxical",
i.e. progress takes place only if I do nothing, or even the opposite
of what is expected. Thus, the authors explain the paradoxical
short-term intervention or "brief therapy concept."
Philosophy of science, this corresponds to the "paradigm shift" in the
concept of Thomas Kuhn. And philosophically, these ideas - of course -
also in ancient times, for example as "enantiodromia" in Aristotle, or
the "Tao Te Ching" by Lao Tzu, or the Buddhist "koan."
That there is such a prognostic crises is so well known. It is
interesting therefore still questions about how often that happens.
An interesting approach to this is found in the invention method
"TRIZ". Its founder Genrich Altshuller has thoroughly studied in the
1950s, about 40,000 to sponsor a sealed their structures.
Approximately 98% of which can be only "40 innovative basic
principles" (40 IGP) to assign. Thus, only about 2% are classified as
"revolutionary."
It's so good to know that "someday" Suddenly everything is different
than previously thought. But it is quite economical, especially the

TRIZ-Future Conference 2005

Graz (pte001/10.11.2005/06: 00) - for the fifth edition of the "World
Conference TRIZ Future" will be 2005 by the Austrian Mining University
of Leoben, together with the European TRIZ Association (ETRIA) TRIZ
and the Austrian Center of Competence, organizes. On this occasion, to
meet the leading TRIZ experts and users in the world of 16 to 18
November 2005 in Graz, to discuss the latest findings, theories and
models of the system.

"Under TRIZ refers to a method that systematically investigated
trade-offs in order to then overcome with the help of innovative TRIZ
tools. Thus it is possible to overcome present system limitations and
to find unexpected solutions," organizer Jürgen Jantschgi explained by
the Foreign Department of the University of Leoben pressetext talking
to. The methodology for the systematic solution of technical problems
was developed in the former Soviet Union by Genrich Altshuller
scientists and covers a wide variety, adaptable methods and tools that
support developers in solving technical problems.

TRIZ has experienced in recent years in the field of innovation
management a big boost. The unique thing about TRIZ is that laws could
be found in the development of technical systems, Jantschgi. The
companies also have an additional benefit, since the TRIZ tools
stimulated the creativity of employees and would bring out new
solutions.

"Compared to the other sites in England, France, Germany and Italy,
where the TRIZ-Future Conference has already taken place, the
conference in Graz have the most international visitors," said
Jantschgi. Many industry representatives would be present and present
their experiences using TRIZ their product innovations, but this
should not distract from the core of the Congress, the TRIZ
methodology itself, as made clear Jantschgi pressetext over.

The business initiative "Ideas make the future"

My name is Hans-Rüdiger Munzke. I am an expert in your idea and
innovation management.

Now experts are
In the excellent economic initiative "ideas make future" Strategies
for efficient and successful idea management developed and provided
specific examples, which are also companies from the SME sector are
useful. In the first Part series of articles described the basic idea
of information management concept and process, then follow the
concrete points.

The initiative "Ideas make the future" is aimed in principle not only
of ideas and innovation manager / inside, inventors and developers,
and engineers in large companies, but especially at staff / and
managers in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Similarly, in the
idea business management / inside, officers, staff and works councils
as well as customers and suppliers involved.

Approach for an efficient management idea

The experts in idea management reveal
how to build ideas and innovation-friendly corporate culture,
as an effective and efficient management idea is organized
consistently and sustainably,
can develop a systematic way in which ideas and innovation strategies,
what influence the effects of promoters on the ideas and innovation
management, and
how to improve processes such as MUDA (waste prevention), SOS, CIP ...
Innovation and TRIZ as engineer, value analysis, design analysis
methodologies can be used or innovation audit.

There are possibilities to stimulate ideas and to use
Basically, it is worthwhile in all areas of practice management ideas, such as
to eliminate waste,
To increase reliability,
To optimize processes, and / or
To prevent accidents and damage, and
To minimize risks,
To improve safety for persons and property,
Environmental protection to enable and strengthen, as well as
provide for improved energy and resource efficiency and sustainable long term.

Idea management and innovation management are important management tools
The initiative "Ideas make the future" is an appeal to all employees /
internal, contractor / interior and other leaders in science,
administration and management, idea management to understand as an
indispensable part of corporate culture and to use.

With the idea and innovation management, the challenges of present and
future are easier to master and with our initiative "Ideas make the
future" we appeal to all those responsible to take the issue
seriously, idea management, and use the opportunities it best!

Ideas can not prescribe it. The idea of diversity has always been
driven to the development of SMEs! But that alone is not. We must
create opportunities to implement good ideas also create value -
creative, passionate and fast. Each successfully implemented idea -
and no matter how small - helps to improve the competitive position of
a company
